Alternating compresses for your face, neck and chest
Prepare two bowls: one with ice-cold water and another with hot water. Take two little towels. Fold them as tightly as possible, so you can place them on your face, neck or chest. Take the towel soaked in cold water, wring it, and place it under your chin so that it’s close against your skin. In a few moments, place it back in the bowl and take the hot towel to place it under you chin the same way. Hot water has to be tolerably hot and cold water needs to feel ice-cold. If the temperatures of either bowl changes, you can always add hot water to the warm bowl and colder water to the cool bowl. Repeat all exercises three times and in all areas mentioned. End the procedure with the cold compress.
Compresses work by contracting your blood vessels with cold and dilating them again with heat. This improves blood flow and skin nutrition.
